Yale Triathlon had a big weekend at several races. We had several first-timers and age group winners, and in fact our first-timers WERE age group winners!! We also had some inspiring performances, including our relay team at Branford, Matt’s single-handed domination of the NECTC at Atlantic City, a battle with bad weather and a broken bike at HITS, and encouragement from team spectators. A memorable, eventful weekend.
@ Branford Hammerfest, some awesome results by all:
Lucinda – 1st AG
Brigit – 3rd AG
Kelly – 1st AG
Sasha – 2nd AG
Nerea – 1st AG
Lexi – Inspiring (and honest) race ;-)
Karlyn – 3rd female finisher
David – Top male finisher
And our team award goes to the Relay of Federico + Yu + Cristina!
@ Atlantic City Triathlon
Matt – 1st AG, 8th overall, and single-handedly carried Yale to a top 10 finish in the conference at this race.
@ HITS Hunter, NY
A shout out to Brendan for competing on a cold soggy day in the Catskills. He started on the 140.6, but suddenly missing a derailleur on his bike at mile 57+, he resolved to complete the 70.3 in heroic fashion. Very very impressive racing.
